visiting MIT and working together

I’m always glad to host visitors working on massive galaxies, cosmic dawn, JWST and Euclid, or the statistics behind large surveys. Email me at jrweaver@mit.edu with a few lines about what you’d like to work on.

MIT undergraduates

  • Research with me runs through UROP, for pay or credit in any term. Email me to ask about a project.

Graduate students

  • Short visits: a talk in MIT Kavli’s Monday afternoon series (MAT) and a few days of work together.
  • Longer stays: students elsewhere working on a shared project can spend time at MIT as a Visiting Student.
  • Fellowships: NSF GRFP, DOE CSGF, and NASA FINESST can support a project together.

Postdocs

Researchers and collaborators

  • Short visits: a talk in MIT Kavli’s Monday afternoon series (MAT) and a few days of work together.
  • Longer stays: MIT visiting scientist and research affiliate appointments, arranged through the Kavli Institute.
  • Collaborations: if you work on COSMOS, UNCOVER, the Cosmic Dawn Survey, Euclid high-redshift science, or JWST spectroscopy of luminous galaxies, I’d especially like to hear from you.
